Malta 1802 On duty at Malta.
17 Sep 1803 Assistant Surgeon 2nd West India Regiment.
The West India Regiments were raised for the defence of the Caribbean colonies. A total of 24 regiments served in the Caribbean between 1803–15. Many soldiers died form Yellow Fever or from inadequately distilled "New Rum" which was heavily contaminated with lead.
