1881 Sent to Barbados to replace a medical officer who had died from Yellow Fever.

10 Apr 1897 Arrived from Portsmouth England.
19 Dec 1897 Returned to England.
3 Feb 1898 Surgeon-Lieutenant Colonel.
23 Feb 1898 Retired.
18 Oct 1902 Promoted Colonel in recognition of his services when re-employed at Portsmouth during the operations in South Africa.
