23 Jan 1846 Surgeon 69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment of Foot.

27 Mar 1846 Exchanged with Surgeon William Gardiner 8th (The King's) Regiment.

11 July 1851 Surgeon 21st (Royal North British) Fusiliers Regiment of Foot.

24 Aug 1852 Staff Surgeon 2nd Class.

Malta 13 Mar 1854 Arrived at Malta from the Cavalry depot at Maidstone, on his way to the Crimea.

28 Mar 1854 Staff Surgeon 1st Class.

25 Apr 1854 Left for Turkey on the steamer Emue.

11 Oct 1854 Censured by Lord Raglan for allegedly failing to make arrangements to receive casualties at Balaclava prior to their embarkation for Scutari.

1857 In charge of the surgical division at Fort Pitt. Served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny.

2 Mar 1858 Awarded by the Sultan the Imperial Order of the Medjidie (5th Class) for his distinguished services before the enemy during the war against Russia.

31 Dec 1858 Deputy Inspector General vice Humfrey.

10 July 1862 Died during a sea passage from Calcutta to England.
