6 Jan 1837 Exchanged with Assistant Surgeon John Bell 81st (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers) Regiment of Foot.
June – Oct 1837 Epidemic of Cholera in Malta.
22 July 1837 Arrived from Gibraltar to assist with the cholera epidemic.
13 Sep 1837 Returned to Gibraltar.
28 June 1839 Appointed Staff Assistant Surgeon. The vacancy in 81st Foot was filled by Henry James Schooles.
29 Dec 1840 Appointed Assistant Surgeon 96th Regiment of Foot. The vacancy on the staff was filled by James Carrol Dempster MD.
6 Dec 1844 Surgeon 18th (The Royal Irish) Regiment of Foot.
