Served in the Peninsular War.

6 Aug 1812 Assistant Surgeon 18th Foot.

Malta 24 Mar 1821 Arrived from England.

Malta 1822 In charge of his regimental hospital in the absence on sick leave of the regimental surgeon James Burns.

Malta 1823 In charge of his regimental hospital in the absence of the regimental surgeon.

Malta May 1823 Returned to England in charge of invalids.

Malta 23 July 1823 Returned to England.

11 Sept 1823 Exchanged to Staff Assistant Surgeon.

5 Jan 1826 Surgeon 2nd West India Regiment.

20 Nov 1846 Staff Surgeon 1st Class.

16 Feb 1855 Promoted Deputy Inspector General of Hospitals.

1 Jan 1857 Retired with the rank of Inspector General.
