10 Mar 1858 Staff Assistant Surgeon.

14 May 1858 Appointed Assistant Surgeon 2nd/22nd (The Cheshire) Regiment of Foot.

Malta 20 May 1859 Arrived from England.

Malta 1860 On duty with his regiment.

Malta 12 Jan 1861 In his confidential report PMO Malta reported that he was: A very good officer, performs his duties in a most satisfactory manner.

24 May 1861 Appointed Staff Assistant Surgeon from the 22nd Foot vice Staff Assistant Surgeon Robert De Burgh Riordan who was placed on half-pay.

Malta 1862 On duty with his regiment.

Malta 1863 On duty with his regiment. Contributed the sum of £9 16 shillings to the Army Medical Officers Benevolent Fund.

Malta 25 Aug 1864 Returned to England.

1865–1867 On duty at Dover.

7 Aug 1867 Assistant Surgeon Corps of Royal Engineers.

1868–1869 On duty with the Royal Engineers at Aldershot.

1870–1873 On duty with the Royal Engineers at Bermuda.

1 Apr 1873 Promoted Surgeon Major.

June 1873 Medical Officer 43rd Brigade Depôt Chichester.

1874 On duty with the Royal Engineers at Aldershot.

Sep 1877 Moved from Aldershot to the Medical Staff Dublin.

1 Apr 1878 On duty at Dublin. Reduced to half-pay having completed 20 years' service on full-pay.
