8 Dec 1837 Appointed Assistant Surgeon 69th (South Lincolnshire) Regiment on the death of Assistant Surgeon Robinson Turner at Berbice on 21 Sept 1837.

6 Jan 1843 Appointed Assistant Surgeon 93rd Highlanders vice Assistant Surgeon William Cruickshank 93rd Foot promoted Surgeon 71st Foot vice Surgeon Thomas Bulkeley, who died at Montreal on 20 Nov 1842.

7 Aug 1846 Surgeon 97th (The Earl of Ulster's) Regiment of Foot.

Malta 25 Dec 1846 Arrived from England on promotion to the surgency of the Reserve Battalion 97th Foot.

Malta 21 Feb 1847 Died at the Military Hospital of the Cottonera District from haematemesis.
