Malta 7 Aug 1819 On leave till 6 Sept 1819.

24 Nov 1819 Death of his second son, Stephen Henry, aged 3 years 3 weeks 1 day. (Military and Civil Cemetery Floriana 1801–1865).

Malta Jan 1820 Failed to produce a satisfactory half-yearly report for 1819. Inspector of Hospitals John Warren commented that he was "willing to believe it does not arise from a determination to resist the orders of the Board on this subject, but rather conceive it arises from an indolent disposition, and having nothing particular to communicate, as he says".1

23 Mar 1820 Baptism at Malta of Stephen Henry Gaisford, born 9 March 1818, son of Surgeon Stephen Gaisford RA and Jane his wife.

Malta 1821 On duty with his regiment.

Malta 26 Dec 1822 Part of the year was in charge of the Ordnance Department.
Died in December 1822 of dropsy.
