Malta 20 Dec 1899 Left for South Africa.

28 Jan 1900 Captain RAMC.

1900–1902 Served in South Africa.

28 Oct 1908 Promoted Major.

28 July 1914 Start of the Great War.

4 Aug 1914 Britain declares war on Germany.

1914–1918 Served in the Great War as an Assistant Director of Medical Services.

1 Mar 1915 Promoted Lieutenant Colonel.

25 Sep 1916 Temporary Colonel L/RAMC.

4 June 1917 Was made a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (DSO).

1919 Invalided back to England early in 1919.

27 Nov 1920 Died suddenly at Basra Mesopotamia while at 3rd British General Hospital.
