11 Oct 1899–31 May 1902 Served in the Anglo–Boer War where he took part in actions in the Transvaal and Orange River Colony.

25 Apr 1900 Lieutenant.

Malta 17 Feb 1903 Arrived from England.

25 Apr 1903 Promoted Captain. In South Africa, from where he returned to Malta in Oct 1903.

At Station Hospital Fort Chambray Gozo.

Malta 19 May 1904 Home leave.

Malta 11 Aug 1904 Returned from leave.

Malta 1905 Officer-in-charge of troops Fort Ricasoli.

Malta Aug 1905 To Crete.

Malta 12 Sept 1905 Home leave.

1909–1911 Served in India.

8 Apr 1911 Retired.

7 Oct 1915 Died at Wolston near Coventry, at the age of 40 years, after a short illness.
